Das Protokoll der Botschafterkonferenz gibt einen Überblick über die aussenpolitischen Tätigkeiten und Probleme der Schweiz im Jahr 1978. Es wurden folgende Themen diskutiert: die Menschenrechte, die Abrüstung, die Beziehungen der Schweiz zur UNO und zu den Blockfreien, die Schweizer Verteidigungspolitik, Wirtschaftsfragen, die Kulturwerbung im Ausland, die Entwicklungszusammenarbeit und die Erfahrungen mit der Exportförderung.
