Die Ergebnisse der Konferenz und der gesamte Prozess «Umwelt für Europa» kann als Erfolg bezeichnet werden. Nebst einigen Sofortmassnahmen in Mittel- und Osteuropa wurden auch erste Elemente eines Umweltprogramms für Gesamteuropa verabschiedet. 1995 soll in Sofia die nächste Konferenz stattfinden.
