Die Sanierungsmassnahmen des Bundes führen zwangsläufig zu einer Redimensionierung des Vertretungsnetzes. Die Botschaften in Luanda, Panama und Yaoundé werden geschlossen. Der internationale Kontext der letzten Jahre und die Multilateralisierung vieler politischer Fragen erfordern jedoch eine intensive Information und einen engen Kontakt mit zahlreichen Partnern.
