Lors de la visite d'une délégation économique mixte dirigé par le Secrétaire d'État Blankart en Australie, les entretiens avec les ministres des affaires étrangères, des entreprises et du commerce portent sur les relations économiques et notamment sur les tarifs élevés dans les secteurs textiles et chaussures, l'importation des produits laitiers, la protection des marques suisses et les barrières techniques au commerce.
