Die Beziehungen zu Äthiopien können als «normalisiert» bezeichnet werden. Obschon Äthiopien kein Schwerpunktland der schweizerischen Entwicklungshilfe ist, ist das Engagement der DEH und privater Kreise beachtlich. Das «offizielle Bern» scheint aber nach wie vor Berührungsängste zu haben.
