Common Statement of the Ministers responsible for the Environment in EFTA Countries

During the EFTA-EEC negotiations, the issue of environmental standards is an important question. The EFTA countries generally have more protective environmental laws and do not want to lower their standards in the EEA process. They welcome the idea of an European Environmental Agency.
