Iceland: Statement by the Swiss Delegation. (To be made only if this matter is raised in the council)

Switzerland is deeply concerned that the Government of Iceland is considering postponing the elimination of the remaining 20% of the Icelandic basic customs duties and would thereby endanger the global process of trade liberalisation. Moreover, this measure would derogate provisions of the EFTA convention.
