The international community has deployed an enormous amount of resources for peace-keeping and humanitarian assistance in former Yugoslavia. UNPROFOR and humanitarian organizations started their operation without coordination and common planning. This led to a number of duplications and overlapping and to misunderstandings and waste of resources. Coordination meetings should therefore be assured on a regular basis.
