L'Organisation européenne de coopération économique (OECE) a été instituée le 16.4.1948.

Elle est issue du Plan Marshall et de la Conférence des Seize (Conférence de coopération économique européenne).

Supplée en 1960 par l'OCDE. L'OCDE cherche l'entente entre les membres de l'AELE et de la CEE via le "Comité des échanges". Participation américaine et canadienne. "Convention signée le 14.12.1960, entrée en vigueur le 30.9.1961".
