The insolvency of many established enterprises in the Kyrgyz Republic cannot be compensated by State subsidies. The World Bank is therefore shifting the allocation of its Rehabilitation Credit in favor of not earmarked expenditures. Switzerland should consider following this example, comforted by the fact that Kyrgyzstan already spent in Switzerland a sensible share of the money provided by the WB.
