The Canadian authorities refuse to pay the advance costs of a prosecution to be held in the Canton of Thurgau for a lawsuit of Swiss nationals for alleged crimes committed in Canada. They invoke a different reading of the 1880 Treaty for the mutual surrender of fugitive criminals.
