Am 23.11.1965 stimmte der Bundesrat der Anfrage der Zentralafrikanischen Republik zu, in Bern eine Botschaft zu eröffnen, vgl. PVCF No 2014. Aufgrund der finanziellen Situation der Zentralafrikanischen Republik scheiterte dieses Projekt aber und statt dessen stimmte der Bundesrat der Akkreditierung des zentralafrikanischen Botschafters in Paris für die Schweiz zu, vgl. PVCF No 824 vom 26.4.1966
