Swiss Chamber of Commerce in China Report for 1946/47

Exports of Swiss goods to China were in a very strong position compared to other countries, with the exception of the heavy machinery industry. This advantage was due to the fact that industry in Switzerland had been spared by the war and the administration provided efficient economic and political support. This favourable position will suffer a severe setback if the Swiss diplomatic representation fails to negotiate a trade treaty with China.
