There has been considerable discussion in the Swiss press regarding the wish expressed by a portion of inhabitants of the Vorarlberg to be incorporated by Switzerland. The Romand Press deprecates the proposal as likely to increase the German element even more and refuses to entertain the idea of making any cession to Italy for which Vorarlberg might be regarded as compensation.
