Memorandum (Aide-mémoire) (M)
Description of the Swiss banking secrecy and its legal restrictions. In criminal cases, the banks can be obliged by court to deliver information. The Federal council, however, has no competence whatsoever to make orders for the freezing, sequestration or the forfeiture of assets in Swiss banks.
