Bern Legation Records, both the General Records (Entry 3207), and the Economic Section of the Legation (Entry 3220). This has been a tremendous amount of material, over 30 boxes. There have been some interesting documents, but these have been few and far between. The vast majority of documents are routine administrative documents between Washington and Bern.

- Box 69 Economic Matters Switzerland - deals with relief supplies, and general economic questions concerning Switzerland, Germany, and the United States in the early war period. Nothing useful for our purposes.
- Box 73 Germany Switzerland - primarily concerned with micro level studies. Also League of Nations bulletins. Files on various other countries' missions in Switzerland.
Nothing useful.
- Box 74 BEW Black List - contains memos on Swiss firms considered pro-Nazi, especially in watch industry, little of use.
- Box 78 Economic Matters - numerous summaries on general economic conditions in Europe, however nothing pointing to US policy.
- Boxes 79, 85, 87, 92, 96, 99, 105, 110, 111, 116 were unexamined.
