Weiterleitung des Interviews mit Puhl vom 13.4.1945
Vor dem Treffen mit Puhl informiert ihn ein ungenannter Schweizer Bankier (Mitglied des dt. schweizerischen Stillhaltekomitees), dass Puhl immer schon anti-nationalsozialistisch eingestellt war. Er habe auch dafür gesorgt, dass in der Reichsbank keine Nazis in leitenden Positionen gesetzt wurden. Wie er seien Wedel, Wilhelm und Wolf alles anti-Nazis.
Befragt über eine mögliche Zusammenarbeit zwischen den Alliierten und Personen der dt. Finanzwelt, die angebl. anti-nationalsozialistisch eingestellt seien, meint Puhl: "He said that he could not conceal the fact that entirely independent from anti Nazi propaganda - many of the decent Germans of the type I evidently had in mind, were doubtful of the likelihood of the Allied authorities proceeding judiciously from their own point of view, yet sufficiently warily (?) from the long run point of view, to justify an immediate and whole-hearted support from such Germans, both as regards their moral standing in the country and the great peril to which they would expose their own lives and those of their families. (...) Elaborating further on this subject, Puhl said that he hoped the Allies realize that it was the unfortunate handling of German affairs after the last war that paved the way for Hitlerism, and that it is their mode of handling this time which will again determine the ? of events and the general attitude of the non-Nazi elements."
Puhl gibt an Bogdah die Adresse seiner Familie weiter. Er selber sagt aus, dass es seine Pflicht sei, nach Dt. zurückzukehren. Er werde aber wieder in die Schweiz einreisen, wenn dies die alliierten Behörden in der Schweiz dies so wünschen würden.
